Trukai Industries Ltd is committed to developing the local agricultural industry in PNG and as such has come on board to support one of PNG’s oldest, most celebrated local events; the Morobe Agricultural Show.

The 56th Morobe Show will be held in Lae from October 7th- 8th showcasing the collaboration between government, private sector and the agricultural industry in the Morobe Province.

This will be the 16th consecutive year that Trukai Industries Ltd will be supporting the Morobe Show with an estimated total sponsorship value worth more than K700, 000.
A cheque of K57, 500 was handed over by Trukai Industries to the Morobe Province Agricultural Society today in Lae. This is the first of three annual payments as part of Trukai’s blue ribbon sponsorship of the event. Trukai recently renewed its sponsorship contract for a further three years commencing 2017 until 2019.

Trukai Industries Ltd Chief Executive Officer, Greg Worthington- Eyre said the company has always been a strong supporter of this annual event, reflecting Trukai’s commitment not just to the show itself, but also its commitment and dedication to the overall development of an even stronger local agricultural and domestic rice industry in PNG.

He said Trukai Industries is also proud to support local events such as these as they generate much needed revenue for the local economy and communities.

This year at the Morobe Show, Trukai will focus its activities on showcasing the exciting developments and innovative projects surrounding their local rice project activities. They will continue to provide for sale their famous Trukai buckets and are expected to announce a special product launch.
